Functions
Efficient mixing: The mixing tube is usually equipped with special structures inside, such as spiral blades or static mixers, which can subject two or more fluids of different components to multiple cutting, shearing, rotating, and remixing effects when flowing through the mixing tube, thereby being divided into several small parts and fully mixed together to form a uniform mixture, effectively improving mixing efficiency and quality.
No external driving required: The static mixing tube relies solely on the flow of the fluid itself to achieve mixing during operation, without the need for additional power devices such as motors. This not only saves energy but also reduces equipment costs and maintenance expenses.
Simple structure: generally composed of a tube body and internal mixed components, with a relatively simple structure, small size, easy installation and use, and easy integration with other devices or systems.
Multiple specifications to choose from: Different sizes, lengths, inner diameters, number of spiral joints, and other specifications of mixing pipes can be selected according to different usage needs to adapt to different flow rates, viscosities, ratios, and other requirements. Different material cores can also be equipped to meet specific adhesive characteristics.
Strong adaptability: Suitable for mixing various types of two-component liquid materials, including but not limited to adhesives, resins, fillers, coatings, inks, etc., and can work stably under different working environments and process conditions. adhesives with strict ratio requirements, as a slight deviation in the ratio may cause significant changes in the glue viscosity and curing time.
Bubble Reduction: The special mixing structure and the way the materials flow help to expel the air mixed in when extruding the materials, reducing the amount of bubbles generated. Excessive bubbles will form pores in the cured material, weakening the strength of the material. For example, in the application scenario of electronic potting glue, bubbles may affect the insulation performance, and the mixing nozzle can minimize such risks.
Usage
Connection Preparation: Confirm that the specification of the mixing nozzle matches the two-component glue cartridges of the adhesive or sealant being used. Connect the two ends of the mixing nozzle tightly to the outlets of the corresponding component glue cartridges respectively. Some are screwed on tightly, while others are fixed by snaps. Ensure that the connection is firm and the sealing is good to prevent leakage.
Exhaust Operation: When using it for the first time or replacing a new mixing nozzle, first gently squeeze the glue cartridge to allow a small amount of glue to slowly enter the mixing nozzle. The purpose is to expel the air originally remaining in the nozzle until the glue flows out continuously and evenly from the outlet of the mixing nozzle, which indicates that the air has been basically exhausted.
Test Discharge: Squeeze the glue cartridge on scrap material to extrude the mixed glue, and observe the discharge situation. Check whether the mixing effect is ideal, whether the glue is uniform, and whether there are any abnormal bubbles. If it is not ideal, check whether the connection parts are loose or whether the mixing nozzle itself is blocked, and make timely adjustments or replacements.
Formal Construction: Hold the glue cartridge connected to the mixing nozzle, aim the outlet of the mixing nozzle at the area to be smeared or filled, and squeeze the glue cartridge evenly and steadily so that the mixed glue covers the target area according to the predetermined track. For example, when sealing a gap, extrude the glue smoothly along the gap; when bonding parts, apply the glue precisely at the points.
Cleaning and Maintenance: After use, if it will not be used in the short term, quickly remove the mixing nozzle from the glue cartridge and rinse it with the matching solvent to remove the residual glue and prevent clogging due to curing. If it will be used again soon, it is also advisable to cover the two ends of the mixing nozzle with caps to slow down the drying speed of the glue.
